‘My puzzlement grew. This chap wasn’t really the sort you’d expect to see shouting abuse at police officers at an anti-war demo. He was, after all, a policeman himself - and a high-ranking one at that.’

Daily Mail warning on this one, and in addition it’s a comment piece. All in all, I’ve simply no proof that this is a fair account. But if it is, I hardly need point out what that would say about the police.
